Email Contacts

We realised this week when it was necessary to change the date of Café Trinity that, as many homes now have access to the internet and emails, it would be really useful to know as many of your email addresses as possible.    We don't intend being irritating like so many advertisers and ‘spam - mers' are, contacting you incessantly,  but simply let you know quickly and easily when something important or interesting crops up.

If you can send an email to Tom Kinloch (who manages the Holy Trinity website) with your details, he will compile a list which we promise will be kept safely and your privacy respected.     Tom's email address is:  tom@kinloch.me.uk

Café Connections . . .

First there was Café Trinity and then Café Connect opened up last September.    We publicised this new venture in Wavertree School particularly and were pleased when, on the first day of Café Connect a few mums who had only been to Holy Trinity for school services rather nervously turned up. Since then, numbers have grown and even when the snow lay thick and even in January, enough hardy souls ventured out to make the volunteers pleased to have made the effort to open up on that day.   We have had as many as 57 people of all ages in the Hall and asking for more!    So, we decided to think creatively.   Café Connect is a delight to those who come and to those who volunteer, but we have to admit, it is very labour intensive.    What is needed is a friendly place to meet, safe for children and not expensive, and so we approached the owner of the little Café which is located among the shops behind the Richmond Tavern - and he and his staff welcomed the idea warmly.

The result is that in September on Friday mornings, Yvonne, our Youth and Families worker, with volunteers from Holy Trinity will go to the little Café, set up a small play area for children, put some literature on the tables and for an hour or so, chat to the folk who come into the Café and if they get the chance, tell them a bit about Holy Trinity and perhaps encourage them to come to Café Connect.  Though there will be play area, people of all ages will be welcome.

Actions will speak louder than words though, and the care and kindness we show will be a sign of our concern for people beyond the walls of Holy Trinity.

Of course, something like this doesn't just happen.    The vision is there, now we need people to help make it a reality.   Yvonne will need two teams of at least 3 or 4 people to work with her on a fortnightly basis.   More in the team will be a real bonus.  Can you help?   Please think about it, pray about it and then talk to me or Yvonne. Even if you can't be involved, you may like to drop in on a Friday for tea and toast (prices are incredibly reasonable) and bring a friend with you.
